Detox with Chelation IV Therapy
Dallas IV Chelation Therapy Doctor, George Cole, D.O. of Cole Wellness Center, offers Chelation IV Therapy to his patients as an effective way to rid the body of free radicals and damaging heavy metals. There are several metals that are necessary for normal bodily functions, however, if any of these levels become elevated, it can become toxic for our bodies. Additionally, the soft tissues in our bodies can absorb heavy metals, such as lead, mercury, and arsenic, which can result in heavy metal poisoning. Dr. Cole has helped men and women from North Dallas, Carrollton, and surrounding Dallas County, Texas to detoxify their bodies from unwanted heavy metals and free radicals.
IV Chelation Therapy uses detoxifying agents, called chelators, which bind to the unwanted metals in your blood. They are then filtered through the kidneys and removed from the body through urination. This detoxifying treatment has properties that can keep you feeling energized and looking great. Dr. Cole may also utilizes this form of therapy to treat heart disease, improve memory and stabilize cholesterol levels. Some additional conditions that chelation therapy is used to treat include coronary heart disease, eczema, and cognitive disorders, such as Alzheimer’s. Dr. Cole will test your levels to determine if Chelation Therapy is an appropriate treatment option for your specific needs.

How Does Chelation Therapy Work?
Chelation is a treatment by which a small amino acid, called ethylene diamine tetra acetic acid (commonly abbreviated EDTA), is slowly administered to a patient intravenously over several hours, prescribed by and under the supervision of a licensed physician. The fluid containing EDTA is infused through a small needle placed in the vein of a patient’s arm. The EDTA infusion bonds with unwanted metals in the body and quickly carry them away in the urine. Abnormally situated nutritional metals, such as iron, along with toxic elements such as lead, mercury and aluminum are easily removed by EDTA chelation therapy. Normally present minerals and trace elements, which are essential for health, are more tightly bound within the body and can be maintained with a properly balanced nutritional supplement.
Chelation Therapy Helps To Prevent:
- Cardiovascular Disease
Cardiovascular Disease is used in reference to a number of heart-related conditions and disorders, such as heart attack, stroke, arrhythmia, heart failure, and more. Some additional conditions that are considered Cardiovascular disease include coronary artery disease and narrowing of the blood vessels.
Atherosclerosis is a condition in which the channels to the arteries become narrowed due to a buildup of fatty deposits. When these channels are restricted, the blood is not able to efficiently circulate through the body, which will then decrease the amount of oxygen, and other necessary nutrients, from reaching the heart.
- Coronary Heart Disease
Also known as Coronary Artery Disease, Coronary Heart Disease occurs as a result of the coronary arteries, or major blood vessels, becoming damaged or diseased. Consequently, plaque builds up along the lining of the coronary arteries and can lead to a partial or total block of the blood flow throughout the body and to the heart.
- Peripheral Vascular Disease
Peripheral Vascular Disease, or PVD, is a common condition that affects the blood flow to an individual’s limbs and extremities. Typically, PVD results in the blood vessels becoming narrowed and the flow of blood decreasing. PVD can be related to another underlying condition, such as Atherosclerosis or Coronary Artery Disease.
- Mental Decline and other Age-related Problems
Studies have shown that Chelation Therapy may be effective in reducing the symptoms and effects of Alzheimer’s Disease and other age-related mental issues. By targeting the harmful proteins that have accumulated in the brain, Chelation Therapy is thought to slow the progression of Alzheimer’s, and other age-related conditions such as dementia.
Chelation Therapy should only be administered by a trained expert under the direction of a physician. Dr. Cole is very knowledgeable about the effects of Chelation Therapy and is happy to answer any questions you might have regarding treatment.
